Microsoft Edge is a strong choice for organizations already invested in the Microsoft ecosystem, offering tight integration with Microsoft 365, security features, and productivity tools like Collections and vertical tabs. Its standout advantage is enterprise manageability—Edge supports granular group policy controls, robust security (including Microsoft Defender SmartScreen), and seamless single sign-on with Azure AD. However, Edge’s value drops if your workflows are Google-centric or require niche browser extensions, as its extension library, while growing, still lags behind Chrome’s. Cost isn’t a concern since Edge is free, but the real value comes from its ability to streamline IT management and enhance security for Windows-based environments.
